Manager – F1 Sponsorship Strategy

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Manager to join our team to work with one of our clients in the motorsports space. This is an amazingly diverse role and you will play an important role that will be imbedded with the client, assisting their team on partnership strategy, activation planning, execution, hospitality and measurement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with relevant experience to manage strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns in Formula 1 with a Fortune 500 company, with focus in the Latin America region. You will work with clients and partner with teammates to implement branded activation programs, including pass-through programs for client partners.

You Will:

  • Lead junior team to ensure account goals are met, while also providing account support
  • Communicate with clients to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and collaboration
  • Assist senior management with execution of official partnerships, ensuring use of all assets available to client
  • Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
  • Work with clients to ensure contractual relationships are fulfilled
  • Write and develop documents including activation plans and POV documents to near client-ready status
  • Work with client team to develop, present, and implement activation campaign recommendations – including sell-in decks for client partners
  • Manage the review and routing of all creative elements, campaigns, and concepts for approval with appropriate partners
  • Manage all requests including merchandise, show cars, and other sponsorship-related assets
  • Contribute to event activation, including hospitality – ticket requests, B2B event program development, and consumer events
  • Be the primary liaison between client team and MKTG hospitality team for event execution
  • Maintain oversight on activation programming including overall annual and per-event budgeting
  • Understand project budgets and manage costs following internal guidelines

You Will Have:

  • 3+ years of directly related experience in the sponsorship industry and experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the NFL, NASCAR, Formula 1, NBA, MLS, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB (not including sales, operations, or athlete management experience)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish required
  • BA/BS in Marketing related field
  • Experience presenting high-level sponsorship concepts to senior client leaders
  • Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions
  • Produce creative solutions to business and marketing challenges facing our clients

Location:

  • Will be in person in client office for 2-3 days a week (Miami)
  • Otherwise work is remote, working with a team around the globe
  • Frequent travel is required including weekends and occasional holidays

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
