What is Manager Enterprise Backups?

Manager Enterprise Backups is responsible for monitoring/managing the Jazz Enterprise backup solution along with IT Infrastructure domain.

What does Manager Enterprise Backups do?

Manager Enterprise Backups play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of a company's information assets. Utilizing advanced tools such as Networker and DataDomain, a Manager Data Backups oversees the comprehensive backup and recovery processes. Networker provides scalable and centralized backup solutions, while DataDomain offers efficient storage and deduplication capabilities, ensuring data is not only backed up but also optimized for storage efficiency. Together, these tools facilitate robust data protection, rapid recovery, and seamless integration across various systems. By effectively managing these processes, the company can safeguard against data loss, enhance operational resilience, and maintain continuous access to critical information, thereby supporting overall business continuity and security.

• Should be strong knowledge on backup domain.
• Must have exposure of leading team.
• Should have experience on backup integration/monitoring and day to day operations of backup.
• Should have design/deployed backup solutions at the enterprise level.
• Experience on both Tape Library and VTL based backup’s operations.
• Sound understanding of Database, Snapshots & File level backups will be preferred as that is needed for troubleshooting on failure as well as restore operations
• Should have knowledge on FS SAN & Backup Switches (Zoning & Administration)
• Should have knowledge and experience of working with VMware Infrastructure Integrations with backup solutions.
• SAN storage experience will be a plus.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Manage the company backup team.
• Daily backup monitoring and administration
• Ensure backup systems are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
• Develop and implement data recovery procedures.
• Perform regular recovery testing to ensure data can be restored quickly and accurately.
• Daily backup report and analysis
• Vendor’s Management

Requirements

• Must be graduate and strong experience on backup domain
• BE (CS, Electronics, Electrical, Telecoms)
• 5 – 10 Years of Relevant Experience
• Have sound knowledge of all Backup platforms, Storage Area terminologies Vmware infrastructure and practical knowledge.
