Manager, EDU Operations

Flywire’s EDU Operations department exists to facilitate best practice execution and promote global scaling. Our key areas of focus are optimizing client relationships, optimizing internal processes, growing and protecting Flywire’s revenue, and optimizing Sales & Relationship Management teams’ time to focus on driving revenue. 

The EDU Operations Manager role supports our mission by working closely with leadership to identify & action process optimizations & process rollouts, facilitate enablement programs & internal trainings, work with subject matter expert teams from varying departments for our central process hub management, and perform gap analysis & optimization of process artifacts, sales enablement material, and other internal resources.

The EDU Operations Manager must have a vision for process improvement, a passion for detail oriented project management, a knack for fostering learning environments, intuitive cross-functional and cross-cultural team building skills, a hunger for professional development and diversifying of responsibilities, and a drive to self-start in the face of ambiguity. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide the EDU organization smoothly into its next stage of growth by introducing programs and operational infrastructure that enable a scalable global footprint.

  • Drive the execution of these EDU programs, process changes, and projects with clear communication, prioritization, and escalation (both within the EDU team and other operating groups).

  • Project manage operational improvements cross-departmentally and cross-regionally. Use project management tools along with precise goal-setting and timelining to successfully launch projects and carry them to completion. 

  • Facilitate enablement programs for best practice execution and revenue optimization. Arrange internal training & workshops to drive engagement when needed.

  • Maintain ongoing and launched projects and programs. 

  • Maintain a routine cadence with leadership across our Agents & EDU teams for gap analysis & ongoing improvements.

  • Bridge communication with key teams (Product, Implementation, sales, Relationship Management and Marketing) in order to reduce silos and increase job efficiency.Optimize internal signposting to best communicate key info for job efficacy for our global teams, in coordination with task force teams with input from Product, Implementation, Sales, Relationship Management and Marketing.

  • Cultivate strong and lasting collaborative relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions across the company, as well as, within our Global Operations team

  • Ideally, around 5 - 8 years of experience in higher education (or agent) environments, within either project management or operations, or managing customer relationships (or a combination of these fields)

  • Proven track record in process improvements and project management 

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail 

  • Proven experience with Salesforce, CRMs, as well as project management tools & methodologies 

  • Training experience and passion for fostering learning environments

  • Passion for building and nurturing teams across geographies and departments, comprising of diverse team members from varying backgrounds with varying levels of experience

  • The ability to work alone as well as part of a team

  • Proficient presentation skills
