Your Job: 

As the Manager, Supply Chain Continuous Improvement (CI) you will develop our end-to-end supply chain CI Community of Practice to deliver high performance and consistent quality. As a leader of CI, you will engage, teach, and develop to drive Brooks revenue growth and drive cost optimization. You will lead the facilitation of CI & Lean activities across the Supply Chain (SC) to improve ways of working & support the implementation of actions that realize value. You will design a strategy to embed a CI mindset throughout the Supply Chain Operations (SC Ops) organization from source to market (Procure, Make, Move, Fulfill, Return, Serve) inclusive of the North American headquarters, across both North American Distribution Centers, and foster relationships with Sourcing teams & EMEA SC Operations teams. 

A key element of this role will be the ability to develop a Community of Practice (CoP) across the SC Ops organization by training individuals to embed CI knowledge & capabilities directly in each team. This role will be instrumental in managing CI across the rest of Brooks’ global network (3PL and other regions) contributing to developing global standards. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Transformation, and drive CI initiatives at a global level.

Your Responsibilites:

  • CI Culture Creation
  • As a centralized source of expertise, develop the strategy to embed CI culture throughout SC Operations
  • Build a CI Community of Practice (CoP) comprised of individuals with CI experience or interest & potential to champion the CI culture throughout the organization
  • Create a “train the trainer” model to embed expertise throughout our teams & foster regular connections with the CoP
  • Deliver CI training, coaching, & mentorship to the CoP and operational teams

  • Standardize & Govern
  • Lead the connection of CI & Lean practitioners between all SC Operations teams & locations to include DC Operations, Sourcing, SEA HQ, & EMEA offices
  • Build, maintain, & govern Brooks CI tools, templates, & methodologies
  • Lead the education & change management required to make tools, templates, & knowledge accessible to our teams
  • Maintain library of past improvement efforts, implemented actions, & next steps
  • Collaborate with CoP to incorporate Brooks specific needs into proven CI & Lean tools to standardize for our organization
  • Conduct external benchmarking & bring external knowledge to build & maintain leading practices

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Facilitate CI / Lean workshops across SC Ops & in collaboration with cross-functional SC partners
  • Consult with End-to-End Supply Chain (E2E SC) teams to identify improvement opportunities & provide support for implementing improvement actions
  • Audit operational processes across our teams with a CI mindset to identify opportunities for efficiency & overall improvement
  • Review functional roadmap plans annually with leaders to identify strategic CI opportunities & develop roadmap of CI activities to support roadmap goals
  • Coach SC leaders on the Management System Maturity Assessment standard to embed best practices & action plans to improve each team’s management structure & operating model
  • Partner with operational teams to identify current pain points & create action plans at a more detailed, tactical level
  • Lead E2E problem-solving across SC functions & prioritize improvement opportunities based on estimated value

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related major, or equivalent combination of experience
  • 7+ years of experience in project management and leading operations in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment supporting multiple channels (business to retail and business to consumer/eCommerce) and complex portfolio
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience required from world class organization3+ years’ experience operational and/or consulting experience in a Distribution Center or Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years’ experience managing or leading a team
  • Experience with supply chain technology/processes such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), S&OP/E, Planning, and ERP Systems
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on the customer (both internally and externally)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Track record of managing, developing, and motivating teams
  • Understanding and experience operating as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization from Sr. Vice President to Individual Contributors
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, & execution of tasks, while understanding how all pieces fit together in the bigger picture
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products, or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots”
  • Ability to champion vision and influence business leaders across the organization
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary

Compensation: The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $114,945 - $172,469 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
