Role Overview

As the Engineering Manager - Content Delivery at Coupang Play, you will report to and work with the head of our Streaming Technology team to define the engineering vision and strategy for our content delivery infrastructure, enabling Coupang Play to deliver high quality video experience to our users for both on-demand and live video streaming. You will lead the team responsible for architecturing, designing, and implementing high-performance software solutions for CDN servers and operating multi-CDN based content delivery systems.

What You Will Do

• Build, scale, and grow a team of outstanding engineers to develop and operate a multi-CDN based content delivery infrastructure.
• Develop highly available, highly scalable, and high performance distributed CDN caching solutions.
• Design, develop and operate a large-scale multi-CDN traffic routing system with automatic traffic steering capabilities.
• Work closely with strategic partners including ISPs, cloud providers, as well as CDN vendors.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of ten years of professional working experience in the content delivery or network engineering domain, including hands-on management experience.
• A proven track record of leading and managing high-performance engineering teams.
• Experience building highly available and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience building and running CDN operating systems and cache solutions.
• Experience planning and forecasting server and network capacity on a large scale.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field of study.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with on-demand and live streaming video.
• Experience working with ISP or IXP and building CDN systems or PoPs in a data center environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean.

4. 당사는 위 2항 본문에 따른 구직자의 반환 청구에 대비하여 채용 여부가 확정된 날로부터 180일 간 구직자가 제출한 채용서류 원본을 보관하게 되며, 그때까지 채용서류의 반환을 청구하지 아니할 경우에는 『개인정보 보호법』에 따라 지체 없이 채용서류 일체를 파기할 예정입니다.
5. 단, 위 1항 내지 4항의 내용은 대한민국의 노동 관계 법령이 적용되는 경우에만 적용됩니다. 그 이외의 경우에는 적용되지 않습니다.
