Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. This role will require some travel to customer sites in the U.S.
The Manager of Commercial Use Cases is responsible for the understanding, selecting, and building the path of development for customer use cases. Customer use cases are the specific tasks Figure’s robot does for customers (i.e. tote manipulation, sheet metal welding, etc). This person sits between the customer and the engineering team, ensuring the delivery of a successful robotic solution to Figure’s clients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for understanding, selecting, and building the path of development for customer use cases
- Must deeply understand all aspects of customer’s use cases including customer requirements, KPIs, edge cases, workcell environment, and supporting functions (i.e. charging, safety, storage, integration, etc.)
- Must be able to negotiate the path of development with the customer (i.e. which KPIs are deliverable when)
- Must communicate these deliverables to engineering and ensure they are achieved
- Responsible for creating a physical twin identical to customer facility, with supporting team
- Must design and create all ancillary components to fit customer needs (i.e. custom charging doc, custom safety equipment, etc.)
- Responsible for building team and tools (ex: CAD models or simulation) as needed for the customer use case development
- Occasional travel to customer site
Requirements:
- 7+ years in product management or robotic solutions
- Experience with robotic development
- Great communicator
- Highly strategic and analytical thinker who can understand current customer requirements and re-design them in an optimal way for a humanoid deployment
- Ability to negotiate with customer and Figure engineering
- Strong leadership skills

- Engineering or highly technical background
