Manager, Commercial Operations

GLG is seeking a Manager on the Commercial Operations team to partner with our Americas business leaders to accelerate top and bottom-line growth and drive strategy initiatives across our business units.  In recent years, our businesses have delivered robust double-digit revenue growth and are well positioned to maintain this growth trajectory going forward.

This individual will be an important partner and team member to multiple different business units within the organization and will interface with top-level executives. This person will be located in our New York office and will report to a Sr Director on the Commercial Operations team.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who demonstrates a willingness to learn, strong communications skills, and ability to work with stakeholders across different functions; is a strong self-starter with solid analytical and critical thinking capabilities; can exercise discretion in handling compensation and other sensitive information; and has a get-things-done attitude.  Previous experience in Incentive Compensation strongly preferred.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Incentive Plan Management – manage quarterly process to enroll new employees into incentive plans, coordinate with HR and Payroll to ensure timely incentive payment, revise targets where necessary, etc.
  • Incentive Compensation Calculation – perform incentive calculations for employees across various incentive plans and business units according to performance against targets.
  • Incentive Plan Design – Help design incentive plans tailored to each Business Unit and ensure all are manageable and reportable providing transparency to the Business.  
  • Data Analytics – perform analyses and develop models to monitor business performance and incentives and address other financial and operational questions.  Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the key financial and operational metrics across business units.  
  • Presentations – Assist with the production of periodic financial reporting materials and PowerPoint presentations.

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3-7 years of work experience, ideally in a highly analytical or operational role
  • Analytic creativity, insight, and agility with strong technical skills
  • Devotion to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency, and data integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with salesforce.com and business intelligence tools
  • Experience with SQL preferred, but not required

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$106,700$130,000 USD
