Manager, Commercial Finance

You shall function as a point of support to Commercial Finance delivering accurate information to the business through analysis of department performance. You will utilize financial analysis techniques to provide analysis and trends on critical business issues improving the daily performance of the department for consideration by senior partners.

Role requires a dedicated-minded individual, with a understanding of financial matters.

Reports To: Director, Client Finance

Job Location: Remote (US) EST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and prepare monthly revenue functions on recognition, forecasting, variance analysis and commentary, and intercompany agreements and billing.
  • Ensure internal and external financial process compliance and proper data capture with supporting documents and understanding of such data between multiple internal financial systems and files.
  • Collaborate and support project leads in creating and reviewing client staff fee proposals, ensuring job management, reconciling billings and payment receipts, tracking expenses, pulling timesheet and pacing reports, preparing staff utilizations, and calculating client margins
  • Prepare and oversee delivery of and accurate production of internal and client-facing reporting
  • Work with billers, business managers, and account management to ensure that processing of invoices and payments of Agency fees and production costs are aligned to Client scope terms, delivered, and posted against the proper job numbers
  • Review and resolve any discrepancies and aged Client balances related to WIP, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Accruals/Deferrals, Unapplied Cash.
  • Collect financial data to support ad-hoc requests

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Financial/Accounting experience; advertising and media agency experience
  • Commercially minded to identify issues and create solutions
  • Interact with senior partners
  • Interrogate and validate financial information
  • Work to their own initiative
  • Meet deadlines through excellent project management skills
  • Explain financial information to non-financial people
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with spreadsheets

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000-126,500. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
