About the role
The Security Manager is responsible for providing a healthy, safe, and secure environment at Quantum Health. The Manager coordinates and oversees the security functions and manages day-to-day operations on Quantum Health’s Campus. This position develops and implements policies, procedures, and best practices for daily operations and scheduled events, but also focuses strategically on the long-term protection of people, assets, and facilities.
What you’ll do (Essential Responsibilities)
- Leadership: Supervise, train, and monitor the performance of all front-of-house and security personnel. Implement security guard strategies to mitigate risk to employees, visitors, assets, facilities, and information. Ensure critical information is communicated and implement best practices. Provides support and subject matter expertise for emergency situations. Serves as primary contact for safety and security emergencies 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and liaison with local law enforcement.
- Crisis Management & Business Resiliency: Participates in the management of operation-specific assessments and the development of risk mitigation plans. Sits as a member of the Enterprise Risk Management team. Partners with operational leaders to ensure compliance with Quantum Health and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes key EHS, sustainability, and security metrics to assist operations in the development and execution of continuous improvement plans. Assists leaders in identifying budgetary needs to address risk reduction and compliance assurance. Manages, implements, and tests Quantum Health’s mass communication system. Work with HR to maintain, report, and track safety and compliance records.
- Policies & Procedures: Develop, review, and execute security policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards and achieve Quantum Health’s strategic and operating priorities. Conducts regular safety and security audits, inspections, and emergency procedure drills.
- Systems Management: Works with cross functional systems including access control, video recording management software, visitor management applications, café payment, HRIS, emergency notification, workplace intelligence / space utilization, service ticketing systems, to bring synergy across platforms and reduce duplication of work. Creates and executes process across these systems to provide maximum value for stake holders.
- Incident Investigations: Works with HR to conduct sensitive investigations, maintains appropriate records, and recommends/takes corrective action as appropriate. Provides technical assistance and subject matter expertise in risk-related matters.
- Training: Produces training content related to health, safety, and security for company wide use through written, video, and live presentation format. Addresses new hire classes over safety and security protocol during on-boarding. Additionally, certified to conduct CPR/AED/First Aid training for employees, when appropriate.

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Licensure/Certifications: ASIS certification preferred (CPP, APP or PSP)
- 5 years in security management or a similar role
- Experience establishing and implementing corporate safety and security policies and procedures in a multi-location organization
- Availability to respond to security alerts outside of business hours
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in both safety and health areas, including OSHA
- Critical thinker and decision-maker. Able to integrate large amounts of information to resolve complex problems
- Proven strong managerial, administrative, and business skills
- Must be able to work productively on multiple initiatives simultaneous
- Ability to work with and across all aspects of the business to bring alignment on security goals and objectives
- Certified instructor in first aid, AED and CPR required within 60 days
- Ability to create training content and help keep safety messaging at the top of focus
- Prefer certification in Gallagher access control systems and NxWitness video management systems within 180 days

Obtains OSHA 30-hour DOL safety card within 90 days

Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
