The Manager Business Development will evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise the Product Management team - Manage individual product portfolios
- Product manager for specialized products including radar components and systems, brake controllers, specialty sensors
- Act as main point-of-contact for activities with the CES North America team
- Overall portfolio responsibility in the $20-$25M range and growing to $30 in the next 2 years
- Responsible for sales budgeting by product family
- Responsible for cost center budgeting
- Handle the distribution customers as in-house accounts to be managed by the Product Management team in coordination with the Customer Service team
- Overall responsible for the ZF Wabco brake controller program ($6.5-$7.0M/year) inter-company business with the ASC business unit
- Support all OTS (off-the-shelf) new business activity at S1 key accounts accounts (estimated to add an additional $5-6M in next two years)
