General Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Manager, Brand Marketing is responsible for driving awareness and long-term growth of our brand through brand marketing and media campaigns, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and event activations. You will manage a team of brand marketers and work closely with the Acquisition, Lifecycle, and Product Marketing teams, and Business Development to broaden the reach of our brand messaging.

Core Functions 

  • Responsible for managing a cross-functional team of brand marketers, including Partnership & Events Coordinator, Content Strategist, and Events Specialist.
  • Establishes team objectives and key results, including success criteria and KPIs for all brand marketing efforts.
  • Leads the development of brand marketing campaigns and storytelling to drive awareness, engagement, positive sentiment, and loyalty of our brand to new and expanded audiences.
  • Develops media campaigns in collaboration with the Director, Content & Communications, and PR agency partners.
  • Collaborates with the Business Development team to identify and create new partner relationships and opportunities that create awareness across new markets.
  • Oversees the development and activation of agreements with strategic partners, affiliates, national governing bodies, teams, clubs, and athlete ambassadors around the world.
  • Manages the budget for brand marketing initiatives, including paid partnerships, event and tradeshow activations, promotional materials, and media campaigns.
  • Manages resourcing for all event sponsorships, including digital and onsite activations, travel budgets, and scheduling.
  • Leads the production of all branded apparel and equipment, including the management of our public apparel stores and all event collateral and equipment for onsite events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional brand marketing and partnership teams and strategies across customer segments.
  • Strong leadership abilities, self-motivated, and goal-oriented to drive growth while motivating others to do the same.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain key partner relationships and clearly communicate strategies across the organization.
  • Strong understanding of market research and data analysis methods, including experience with web analytics tools.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing effective brand marketing campaign strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the international performance sports markets.

Compensation

Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $78,518 - $130,865. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

This role is eligible for variable compensation, including bonus.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
