About the team and role
PhonePe Ads is looking for a data driven, self-starter, business generalist to join our strategy function.
PhonePe Ads delivers brand and performance marketing outcomes to brands / advertisers across industries.
We are a team of hustlers, collaborators and action / outcome-oriented individuals.
In this role, will get to work on and own multiple high impact and priority projects including identification and GTM of new revenue streams, leveraging data for daily decision making around advertiser’s campaigns and ownership of key platform health metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Metric Ownership
o Own and drive strategic initiatives and programs for metric growth
o Troubleshoot and resolve any metric volatility that may cause business impact
New Opportunity Identification, Scoping, GTM and Revenue Realization for Ads Vertical
Define input levers and maintain operating process control by measuring outputs
Support in Process and System design for Campaign Success and P&L Growth
Own & manage Strategic Partnerships for PhonePe ads
Work with Ads LT team and support them with data driven decision making
You will work closely with product, analytics, data sciences and revenue sales teams to
o define campaign design SOPs & playbooks
o create optimization strategies
o champion advertiser & consumer needs in internal forums
o Identify areas of automation of repeatable tasks
Is an IC role with people management potential based on scope of work and charter growth
Skills & Competencies
An ideal candidate should have:
Excellent understanding of the ads and digital marketing ecosystem
Strong first principles thinking
The ability to work with fuzzy / unstructured data problem statements
Ability to create structure & opportunities in ambiguous environments
The ability to work with, communicate effectively and influence multiple cross functional stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Design, Analytics &; Engineering
Strong prioritization skills & documentation hygiene
Willingness and proven ability to be an all-rounder across problem statement identification, execution, consensus building and contributing to product evolution and roadmap
Good to haves:
o Prior experience in publisher monetization roles
o Prior experience in revenue/general strategy or Program Management role
o Experience using DSPs (DV360, TTD, etc.) or SSPs (GAM, PubMatic, etc.)
o MBA from Tier 1 College
