The Manager, Accounting will have an integral role in the Accounting & Finance team which includes the day-to-day accounting operations and compliance functions. In collaboration with the Accounting team, the role will be responsible for the period-end close process and partner with management to drive continuous improvement in accounting operations. This is an opportunity to develop and implement scalable processes and robust internal controls to support a lean, high-growth, and results-oriented organization.
- Responsible for managing the process to ensure accurate and timely period-end close process with tight deadlines including journal entries, support schedules, reconciliations, analysis, and internal financial reporting
- Ensure all required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed, consistent with US GAAP
- Identify and implement processes that will allow the accounting function to scale with an emphasis on best practices and strong internal controls
- Lead, manage, develop, and inspire the Accounting team; establish objectives, maintain communication, identify professional development needs and training opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Assist with maintenance and documentation of company-wide accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure cross-training with accounting team members to ensure the ability to fill in, as necessary
- Provide support during the annual audit
- Prepare monthly management reports, as necessary
- Assist with special projects and other functions, as necessary

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or similar discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of combined public accounting and private industry accounting experience at a company of $500M+ gross revenue
- Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Experienced in leading, coaching, and mentoring Accounting professionals including hiring and performance reviews
- Ability to facilitate positive teamwork and lead by example
- High attention to detail with a proven ability to analyze, interpret, and resolve a variety of discrepancies
- Consistent in meeting deadlines, well organized, adept at managing peak workloads
- Creative thinker and solutions-oriented
- Experienced with ERP systems such as SAP, MS Dynamics, Oracle
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives, and operational improvements while simultaneously maintaining day to day functionality
- Dedicated to the timely delivery of a superior product
- Able to analyze, evaluate, and move quickly to support rapid decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Ideal Candidate
- Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification is preferred
- Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred
- Graduate degree in Accounting, or equivalent is preferred
- Industry experience in entertainment, live events, or travel is preferred
- NetSuite/Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics F&O is preferred
- Experience with Blackline or other reconciliation applications
