NOVVA, a leader in hyperscale data centers is looking for an Accounting Manager. You will be joining a customer focused company that provides tailored, sustainable, secure wholesale enterprise colocation solutions across the country. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process in a high volume, fast paced environment.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Accounting Manager’s responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of all facets of the financial operations of the company, including financial statement preparation, cash management, budget preparation and analyses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all other fiscally related duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes (sales tax, use tax, personal property tax, and real property tax)
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- Assist with liquidity assessment and cash management for the development spent. Where necessary, identify cash shortfall and assist with capital calls
- Ensure all loan draws and capital calls are prepared in accordance with the loan trackers and interface with lenders on financing issues
- Review, manage, and distribute “Budget Analysis” reports to project team, ensure all over budget items are resolved timely (contract and invoice reclasses), and ensure Budget Adjustments are processed timely and in advance of contracts and invoices
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with development accounting and construction accounting is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- 2-3 years experience in NetSuite using various features and functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with other financial systems
