Position Summary:
The Sustaining Program Manager (SPM) leads & drives deliverables through Sustaining Core Team (SCT) with full program/s ownership by prioritizing resources to ensure sustaining products (higher volume products) consistently meet volume requirement, quality & reliability, engineering KPI and cost goals.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain customer-specific product requirements, assess and recommend engineering solutions, upon approval from SCT, drive execution to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Define and drive product recipe ramp and depletion strategy that meets overall customer and WD business needs.
- Accountable and focal point to overall product cost for sustaining products with finance collaboration to define optimized product cost strategy and drive execution.
- Establish and maintain a business process to ensure support from product cost (sub category) owners to deliver to BCP commits.
- Collaborate with KPI owners to align and rationalize roadmaps ensuring consistent product strategy and execution.
- Monitor overall engineering KPI performance and support KPI owners to address gaps vs plan.
- Collaborate with quality team to define and prioritize product quality improvement strategy.
- Monitor overall quality KPI performance and support quality team to address gaps vs plan.
- In event of quality stop order, execute SSO process and lead core team to define containment, disposition, drives root cause and corrective actions that meet optimized business objectives.
- Participate in new product Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR) and approve product release to assume product ownership in LVM.
- Participate in new product KPI underpinning strategy and ensure all KPI and cost roadmaps are aligned to execution capability in HVM.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher with Engineering related majors
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience and proven record in program or project management leadership position
- Experience with Semiconductor Packaging & PCBA (SMT) manufacturing and test processes.
- Familiar with Product Life Cycle and new product development processes
- Proven track record on people development & management; building, mentoring and inspiring a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and to interact with a diverse group of individuals in a very fast and dynamic environments
- Ability to drive change and improvements within the team
- Result oriented leader
- Strong computer skills including MS Office products, MS Project and etc.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong in strategic planning and also Risk/Critical management skills
- Good problem solving and decision making, Pro-active & initiatives and strong sense of accountability
Bachelor degree or higher with Engineering related majors
