The role:
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join Prevail Group Limited. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for bookkeeping aspects of the accounting for the group. The role will be suited a very hands-on accountant within a busy but varied Finance Team. There is also the opportunity for projects to improve business intelligence and processing.
Responsibilities/ deliverables:
These are the key things that you are responsible for delivering within your role. There will be activities and tasks in addition to this list that are expected from you, but the majority of your time will be:
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for 2 business units – compile, analyse and report all the costs and revenue within the month end timeframe.
- Reconcile the business Balance Sheet accounts and make sure any issue is resolved when identified.
- Reconciliation of the Bank Statement
- Reconciliation of the company’s cards
- Raising Purchase Orders in line with the expected costs
- Raising Sales invoices in line with the SOWs
- Communicate with the external vendor and the client when required.
- Helping with the auditor’s requests during the annual review
- Managing the Finance email box
- Other ad hoc reports as required.
Requirements
You:
Criteria:
- Several years experience within a similar role
- A part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- If you have previously Xero experience, that would be advantageous but is not a requirement for the position
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- An understanding of finance workflows and practices
- Due to the security of our projects, you must be a UK Passport holder with, or able to achieve at least, SC security clearance
