What you’ll do
Be part of a crucial team, responsible for the ongoing financial health and performance of the business.

Preparation of timely and accurate monthly & year-end management accounting, analysis & reporting aligned with WPP policies

Preparation of variance analysis and monthly commentary.

Provide input into monthly management reports and ad hoc reporting

Ensure that the required evidence is maintained for month end accounting aligned with IFRS and SOX controls

Ensure that at month end close all finance systems (Maconomy, Sugar and SAP Cartesis) are reconciled
-
Review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations prepared by Financeplus and ensure ageing or reconciling balances are actively managed and resolved

Management of accruals and prepayments schedules including substantiation of each individual balance

Preparation of statutory / regulatory returns such as, accounts, VAT, PSA, P11d and R&D Tax Credit preparation

Review of Balance Sheet to ensure any risks are minimised/escalated as necessary

Work with Maconomy support team to get the best reports from the system to assist the business

Assist with budget and forecast cycle

Develop and drive system processes and controls in ensuring compliance with relevant SOX controls

Review and approval of vendor set-up
What you’ll need

Part Qualified/Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel

Experience working with finance system, preferably Maconomy
-
A strong understanding of IFRS

Strong experience of SOX controls required

Strong technical knowledge of P&L and Balance sheet
