About the role

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join us here at Confused.com. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant who has been working in accounting whilst training and wants to take the next step in their career. If you've got strong analytical skills, stakeholder management and the ability to multitask and prioritise, you’ll be a great candidate to join this exciting role in our busy finance team!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing production of monthly management accounts
  • Timely ledger posting of month end journals 
  • Cash flow preparation and analysis
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation for the annual external audit
  • Preparation of VAT and regulatory returns
  • Opportunity to cover in other areas (AR; AP) 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience preparing monthly management accounts
  • Experience with VAT returns
  • Strong Excel skills (use of pivot tables and vlookups a minimum)
  • Comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
