The role:

As Management Accountant, you’ll work with the Financial Controller on:

  • Monthly Management Accounts
    • Assist the Financial Controller in the production of monthly management accounts and related monthly analysis.
  • Cash Management and Forecasts
    • Weekly, monthly and annual cash management, to include cash-flow modelling. This will include supporting analysis for FX management with the business transacting in multiple international currencies.
  • Budgeting and 5 Year Financial Plan
    • Assisting the Financial Controller to manage the annual budget and 5-year financial plan process, ensuring they are produced within agreed timescales.
  • Quarterly Business Forecasts
    • Assist the Financial Controller with on-going review of business forecasts with budget holders, updating reporting regularly to align with agreed changes.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and finance related projects to support the business, as required.

Requirements

The kind of person you are:

  • Fully (or nearly) qualified accountant
  • 2+ years working in an accounts environment, post-qualification
  • Experience working with cloud based financial systems e.g. Xero
  • Advanced understanding of excel
  • Experience in budgeting, modelling and forecasting
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Skills to impress:

  • Experience working with Xero
  • Professional experience in the travel/IT industry

Location: We are offering truly flexible working options so you can decide whether you want to work from home, from our central Brighton office or a bit of both (within the UK).

Hours: 37.5 per week, flexitime

Reports to: Financial Controller
