About the role:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Shared Services, the Managed Services Specialist, EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) has a critical, customer-facing and internal role, enabling the self-sufficiency of a best-in-class professional services organization. 

This role is tasked with the successful delivery and execution of EVV rejection management that may include the successful configuration and setup within a tenant’s environment. Leading both project resources and product stakeholders, you bring subject matter expertise in specific functional areas (AlayaCare Platform, Home Care industry) that drives value into successful EVV compliance. You will manage complex components of RCM (Revenue Cycle Management), working closely with customers to understand pain points and achieve positive outcomes. You are the MRP for the quality of the project delivery and meeting (and reporting on) the customers outcomes. This is an individual contributor role and gains seniority via ongoing specialization. 

Location, travel, and in-office requirements:

This position is based in Toronto, ON. AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at (minimum of 2 days per week) at our downtown Toronto office location. Some travel will be required for conferences, customer onsite meetings, and events within North America (up to 5% of the time). 

What you'll be responsible for: 

  • Act as the point-person and lead internal teams to customer EVV readiness, configuration, testing and user training.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, supporting customer EVV issues as they come up and looping in the Project Manager if issues will impact project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Contribute to development of repeatable environment configuration as well as assisting with resource documentation creation.
  • Research and assist with resolution of errors in EVV dashboard, resulting in information accurately importing into the EVV system and the correct billing of claims to payers.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all AlayaCare integrated EVV systems and provide training to others as needed.
  • Monitoring and trending EVV data to ensure procedures and processes are working and maintained to follow industry best practice.
  • Assist with state/aggregator certification which is not limited to scenario testing and production mapping.
  • Maintain state EVV requirements that also include changes to state aggregators as well state EVV status.
  • Work closely with EVV/RCM Product team to ensure prioritization and steps for resolution follow best practice for both operational and implementation-based customers.
  • Assist with the direction of product development and feature prioritization based on industry best practices and customer needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the industry, particularly within the USA post-acute care market and EVV
  • Some travel (less than 5%) within North America could be required.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a blend of completed post-secondary education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a preference for candidates who have exposure to home healthcare or post-acute healthcare technology environments.
  • Experience with Medicaid home health-based services and EVV, ideally at a multi-state level is strongly preferred.
  • Technical acumen with experience adopting and leveraging various tools and systems.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (including PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook), Project Management tools (bonus for Asana, Confluence and Mavenlink), is required.
  • Process-oriented and a high level of attention to detail to create and maintain process-based documentation guides.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion to understand customers challenge sand provide detailed plan of resolution.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing; comfortability in communicating with (and adopting your style to communicate with) internal and external stakeholders at various levels with varying levels of technical acumen.
  • Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to a project.
  • Exposure to post-acute healthcare software, ideally within the non-congregate care space, would be a definite bonus; AlayaCare platform knowledge is considered a definite asset.
  • Direct understanding of the impact of compliance and data integrity within the SaaS business.
  • Ability to handle various projects simultaneously; adapts quickly and easily while managing competing priorities.
  • A strong willingness to take initiative, work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet pressing deadlines.
  • Willingness to participate in some infrequent travel (up to 5%).
