Make Up Artist

The Details 

• Produce a great standard of makeup that is true to the ASOS aesthetic and appeals to the ASOS 20-something customer 
• Working with all different skin types and textures. Championing your artistry skill set.
• Elevating clothing by executing exciting new makeup trends that compliment the product 
• Be prepared to work to deadlines, ensuring your models are shoot ready on time 
• Build relationships and rapport with ASOS models to instil trust in your artistry ability and in the wider production department 
• Deal with any model issues professionally and in line with ASOS behaviours policy  
• Work alongside the model booking team to maximise each models potential and create the best ASOS shoot experience 
• Work with the wider shoot team to solve any issues on set and help facilitate a smooth shoot process 
• Work under the guidance of your senior and makeup lead to produce, develop & execute new looks 
• Take on feedback constructively, with an ability to critique your own work efficiently  
• Attend H&M courses setup by the business to up-skill yourself 
• Be a responsible member of the studio team facilitating smooth communication to team members across different shoot locations 
• Follow all creative and operational hair and make-up and wider studio processes 
• Full understanding of the ASOS customer and target audience 
• An awareness of the latest and upcoming trends, following each season’s catwalk shows, influencers, Tik Tok, our competitors and street styles 
• Be prepared to carry out daily administrative tasks  
• Contribute to problem solving through meetings and 1:1’s with your makeup lead 
• Maintaining/ cleaning equipment and products daily to ensure a professional & sanitary working environment 
• Contributing to team and departmental meetings 
• Be recognised as an aspirational figure within your team and the wider department 

About You

• Previous professional makeup session styling essential 
• Previous fashion e-commerce experience is essential 
• Experience with all skin tones and skin types, confident within skincare, colour correcting, eye shapes, lip shapes and face shapes.
• A methodical, accurate and extremely organised approach with a keen eye for detail.  
• Excellent communication, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills    
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and think on their feet.  
• Assertive and forward thinking.  
• A 'can do' attitude and high level of efficiency  
• An 'unflappable' nature who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment.  
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm and be a real team player   
• Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, In Design, Sitecore and in the general day to day running of a PC and/or MAC
