About the team
In this role, you will be joining the Facilities team. This team supports our warehouse by keeping a clean and well stoked work environment. As a member of the Facilities team, you will create a direct impact on fostering a positive culture throughout our warehouse.
What You'll Do
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to repair, diagnose, and trouble-shooting for warehouse machinery and electrical maintenance. The Maintenance Technician needs to be a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.
- Performing work on automated conveyor lines, compressors, boilers, and related equipment
- Support handyman functions; electrical, carpentry, painting, and plumbing
- Perform general maintenance repairs daily
- Install new equipment and ensure assets are in excellent working condition
- Resolve issues throughout equipment life cycle
- Implement and execute safety as the highest priority
- Experience with three-phase electrical from 24 volts up to 220 volts
- Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lay beneath equipment, and lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- The position itself requires you to stand, push, pull, and bend
- Basic computer knowledge ex. emails, MS Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Support all other maintenance functions as needed
Who You Are
- 1-2 years experience as an Industrial/Commercial Maintenance Tech
- Electrical experience is strongly preferred
- Must be a self-starter, organized multi-tasker, and uphold excellent customer service
- Ability to perform work at the highest expectation with minimum or no supervision
- Dry cleaning and sewing equipment maintenance experience is a plus
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Understanding of OSHA safety is a plus

How we work at The Black Tux
Onsite
Onsite TBT team members need to be in person working full-time (40 hours per week) from an office, warehouse, or showroom. The reason being is that these roles have a requirement for a physical presence to do their job with customers, team members, or at one of our locations. We host a number of onsite events where all our team members are welcome!
