What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machines to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration in partnership with the Supervisor, Maintenance
- Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, utilizing necessary testing equipment
- Assist in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of special projects, equipment installations, and routine maintenance
- Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs completed
- Records repairs, maintenance, parts and materials used, and order new parts and materials as necessary
- References facility floor plan and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of equipment
- Examines parts and equipment for defects and excessive wear
- Apply a variety of methods, procedures and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul and maintain various types of machines and equipment
Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical background
- 2 years of facilities maintenance experience
- Experience working in the pet food or food production industry (preferred)
- HACCP experience (preferred)
- Occasionally lift or move machinery, equipment, or parts up to 50 pounds
