Primary Role: Industrial Mechanic
Mechanic will safely and efficiently perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and all tasks related to the maintenance of all feed mill equipment and facility. Typical tasks include troubleshooting and repairing components, testing, and working with production team members.

Description/Job Summary
This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the feed mill facility. Scheduled to work Monday - Friday from 7am-3:30pm, and weekends as needed. Responsible for on call duties as required and all found problems repaired before finishing shift.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components
- Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts
- Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments
- Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery
- Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified
- Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources
- Other duties as assigned
- Operate fork lifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Reading, General Math and Writing Skills.
- Organized and able to multi-task.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General knowledge of welding/fabrication
- General knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical
- Ability to work overtime including, holidays, nights, and weekend shifts
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing and able to stand for several hours.
- Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with use of PPE
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
- General knowledge of boilers/steam systems
- General knowledge with programming technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD)
- Technical school preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
