Why we're hiring:

Our Platform Services team is searching for a Maconomy Technical Operations Manager to join our elite global team. This isn't just about maintenance – it's about driving innovation and efficiency across the entire WPP network.

Here's your chance to spearhead the deployment of Maconomy across WPP's diverse portfolio of companies. You'll architect and standardize new requests, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. As the guardian of excellence, you'll meticulously review daily technical operations and anticipate challenges. Collaboration is key as you work with operating companies to understand their unique needs and translate them into elegant technical solutions. And get ready to unleash your creativity by building cutting-edge technologies across all Maconomy platforms.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Building the config Portal in Power Apps and keeping it up to date
  • Improve and optimise the reporting capability alongside the Reporting Lead
  • Build on optimising Core and Premier, standardising Premier and updating any continually improving and integration that are already live
  •  Training new people on the complexity of Core above standard training, especially highlighting any technical training the team will need above basics
  • Reviewing new requests, looking at all options, making sure that all decisions are documented along with details requirements and set up instructions
  • Start working with the Global Hogarth team on OCP, again looking at all options and reviewing with Hogarth, WPPIT and the sponsors
  • Overseeing the transition into Stage 2 of People Planner and new Project Management updates with the new Resource Manager Lead, ensuring they are in line with WPP standards
  • Making sure that giving guidance to the team on new country builds, reviewing the integrations and looking at standardising and optimising any new ways of working including any AI / bots
  • Technically reviewing any new integrations or new gaps that may occur during new implementations along with the Maconomy Architect
  • Review the WorkDay HCM integration from a Maconomy standard
  • Work on a standard set up of the new Web Client for Core and help build the new data warehouse for Core and Premier
  • Giving 3rd parties and new senior OpCo teams insight into Maconomy and the system methodology
  • Update and present change request documentation for approval to the Design Approval Board and Technical Approval Board
  • Making sure key financial attributes are updated like COA, banks and other areas
  • Create excellent working relationships with all parties including the Shared Services Centre and Transformation Team
  • Participate and present at fundamental meeting such as project approval meetings and any 3rd party sessions

 

What you'll need:

  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge, qualification desirable
  • Technical experience of ERPs, preferably Maconomy 
  • Strong project management skills are desirable
  • Takes initiative, is a highly motivated, flexible team player with the ability to deliver in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to create relationships at executive level across the business
  • Strong understanding of the Finance area and its strategy and a good understanding of what success looks like
  • Business advocate to drive efficiencies, stabilization, and continuous improvement
  • Can articulate analysis and designs in various formats
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
