Machinist

• Provide support to the Plant maintenance team and operations by assisting fabricating / machining the parts / repair of the parts based on the measurements taken from site or sample parts to cater all the emergency requirement.
• Ensures that all shop tools and equipment are clean and tools are stored in the proper location in the Mechanical workshop.
• Responsible for the operation & preventive maintenance of Machine tools in the Workshop.
• Responsible for the up-keeping of the tools required for the machining operations.
• Responsible for daily inspection of the machine tools for proper operation.
• Responsible for informing the details of broken or damaged tools and equipment to work shop in-charge for replenishment.
• Will take the measurements using precision measurement tools at site or EQ for reference and fabrication.
• Performs operations like machining, drilling, boring, threading and key way cutting using machine tools in workshop and all other related duties as assigned.
• Develop and maintain inventories.
• Arrange and ensure the fitness and availability of the machines in workshop.
• To ensure Maintenance of the machines timely through Workshop, Spare parts follow up of the concerned machines.
• Ensure good housekeeping and cleanness of the work sites and the workshop and make sure that all left over material / scrap are removed and properly disposed.
• Ensures the compliance with safety rules, work permit system, good working practice, proper implementation of procedures, quality and environmental requirements and regulations.

Requirements

• 10 Plus 2 School and Artisan Certificate in Workshop Machinery
• 2 years of hands-on experience in small to medium scale industry/ workshop.
