Auburn Manufacturing locally owned and operated for 45 years, has several Textile Machine Operator openings, to be based in their Mechanic Falls or Auburn, Maine plant.
Home of the 2023 Presidential Visit!
Requirements of the Machine Operator (Textile):
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but we will train
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Ability to commute to Mechanic Falls or Auburn, Monday through Thursday
Benefits of the Job:
- Pay: $19 - $22 plus $1 differential for 2nd shift.
- 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 4:00pm
- 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00pm – 1:30am - will train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities of the Textile Machine Operators:
- Operates equipment such as spinning frames, twisters, blend and card machines
- Operates wide and narrow weaving looms to create cloth
- Tends the creels/spools that supply continuous yarn into machine
- Stitches, cut & sew, fabricates and operates Quilting Machine
- Prepares and feeds cloth into Ovens and or Furnace
- Weighs rolls of cloth and straps rolls onto skids
