Our Mission & Vision

To date, Grover has circulated over 1.2 million devices, employs over 400 people, and stands as one of the fastest-growing scale-ups in Europe. We hit Unicorn status in 2022, and are scaling internationally! 

We're proud to champion a more sustainable way to use tech. With an average of 3-4 rental cycles per device depending on the category, we estimate that the rental of our portfolio from 2015-2021 resulted in 160,000 fewer e-waste products and about 250 tons of e-waste. 

We are looking for a mid-level Machine Learning Engineer to deploy the machine learning models for our talented Risk team hybrid (2 days per week min.) at our Berlin HQ.  This role will primarily focus on the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the ML models, rather than the development, which is owned by the data scientists. 

🎯 What you will contribute:

  • Productionize and deploy Machine Learning models for Credit Risk and Fraud Detection in cooperation with Data Scientists.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and monitor ML pipelines.
  • Build, validate, and clean datasets for production environments. 
  • Maintain and support real-time decision engines (order approval, fraud detection).
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines.

🤝 What you bring:

  • BSc in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or similar fields.
  • 2-5 years of overarching engineering experience, preferably including fast-paced start-up environments.
  • Knowledge of software development practices.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms.
  • Knowledge of one of the big cloud services (AWS, Google, Azure).
  • Knowledge of frameworks like Faust and Pandas.
  • Excellent SQL skills are a must. 
  • Knowledge of Python, Docker & Kafka is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of Amazon SageMaker is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English.
