About the team

The People Systems team is Xero’s critical people technology solutions. These solutions are Xero’s internal facing systems servicing people, finance, legal, facilities, productivity, collaboration and core IT services. We support a myriad of tools and technologies that are critical to ensuring all Xero's can work efficiently and effectively.

About the role

You will be a key member of the People and Finance Systems technical team, utilising leading SaaS products and familiarising yourself with low-code SaaS IDEʼs - specifically SnapLogic and Workday Studio.

Working across departments and geographies, you'll be interacting closely with the technical capability lead, as well as our key business stakeholders in Human Resources (PX), Finance, Payroll and IT. You will primarily be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of integrations across Xeroʼs internal systems and 3rd parties, utilising Snaplogic and Workday tools and technologies.

Success in this role will be measured by happy stakeholders, and a world class execution of change across the business.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure key collaboration and change control processes are followed and carried out in an efficient manner.
  • Engage with the necessary stakeholders to fully understand, communicate and document process, workflows, requirements and solutions; work closely with the Product Manager, Capability Leads, Architects as well as the People Lead to set expectations for delivery, based on best understanding estimations.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the tools at your disposal, leveraging them to their full capability to deliver a high standard of integration deliverables.
  • With collaboration as a key theme, you'll define, manage, and schedule work with external teams to unblock dependencies as required.
  • Contribute to a fun working environment, living Xeroʼs values, and doing the best work of your life with a focus on customer service and delivery.

What you'll bring with you:

  • Understanding of low-code development platforms/systems is critical. Ideally you'll come from a similar role (Systems Analyst, Developer/Engineer) with exposure to low code development experience with relevant SaaS IDEʼs (Snaplogic, Workday Studio, SOAPUI or Postman).
  • Excellent stakeholder skills! You'll be comfortable engaging and interacting with all manner of stakeholders/customers; including a proven ability to gather, elicit, and document integration processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail; coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and outcomes to technical & non-technical audiences.

We embrace diversity and inclusion and value a challenge mindset at Xero.  Research has shown that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single competency or experience. If you are excited about this role, and your experience doesn't align, we encourage you to apply. You could be the right person for a role. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application and throughout the interview process.
