You will be working in the EU-PCL department that oversees the European supply chain control. Within EU-PCL we set the strategy for regional direction and align best practices to improve our skills among European affiliate companies. In addition, the department reviews and continuously improves our operation in close collaboration with other internal and external parties. Your focus will be on the improvement of the European transport network.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high performance on the client accounts and overseeing transportation projects to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and building strong relationships by focusing on continuous improvement to drive performance up and cost down.
- collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders throughout the Europe region to deliver exceptional transportation solutions while meeting client objectives and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Works in projects to drive sustainability in transportation to meet the companies environmental targets.
- Works with other departments to develop new standards.
- Evaluates data to implement technological improvements in transportation processes.
- Implements controls to monitor costs and improve transport operation performance.
- Helps to develop instruction manuals for operational personnel.
- Develop training material to improve our quality
- Generates process documentation and reports.
- Master’s / bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with transportation industry standards, regulations and best practices.
- Experience in managing client accounts and leading transportation projects.
- Ability to analyze complex transportation challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address client requirements, optimize transportation systems and resolve issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both in Dutch and English.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
- Presenting complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders, make it understandable.
- Experience in using Transport Management Systems.
- Open to travel within Europe.
