SUMMARY
This role involves facilitating and supporting logistics operations across all program activities in Mai-Ndombe, DRC, under the guidance of the Procurement Officer and in collaboration with the Technical Assistant. Responsibilities include managing inventory, coordinating equipment and supply deployment, overseeing maintenance and repairs, arranging staff travel, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to enable seamless program execution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have responsibility for the following areas:
1. Coordination and Deployment
Coordinate deployment of equipment and materials across health zones and provide logistics support for office and field missions, ensuring safety protocols and staff security.
2. Inventory and Asset Management
Maintain and update office inventory, manage procurement and maintenance of office assets, and oversee the upkeep of equipment, vehicles, and power sources.
3. Maintenance and Utility Oversight
Manage the maintenance schedule for office equipment and assets, including vehicles and the generator, and ensure timely payment of utility bills (electricity, water, internet) for uninterrupted operations.
4. Travel and Event Logistics
Organize and facilitate staff travel (visas, tickets, reservations) and provide logistical support for program activities such as workshops and field missions.
5. Fuel and Transport Management
Monitor fuel supply for vehicles, motorbikes, and speedboats, verify transportation invoices with Finance, and supervise drivers for efficient vehicle operations.
6. Supplier and Vendor Relations
Serve as the main liaison with local suppliers and hotels, ensuring proper documentation and invoice management to support office needs.
7. Compliance and Standards
Ensure all logistics adhere to organizational policies, internal standards, and the procedure manual for consistent operational compliance.
8. Collaboration and General Support
Work closely with drivers, program staff, and other team members to address requests accurately and assist with additional tasks as required.

VillageReach employees typically work in a shared, open environment with task and conference rooms accessible to employees for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Due to the time zone differences across our USA, Kenya and Country Offices and location of other global staff, we have established core collaboration hours between 6am Pacific Time and 18:00 South Africa Time (GMT+1) Monday through Thursday. All staff, regardless of location are expected to be available between these hours. During Daylight Savings Time, this allows for 12 hours per week (3 hours/day) of collaboration time and during Standard Time, 8 hours (2 hours/day). We do not hold cross-office meetings on Friday.
Role is computer based and requires sitting and/or standing at a desk, using a mouse, keyboard, and laptop and viewing screens.

Benefits
VillageReach has an established compensation structure that is based on the relevant market and internally transparent. The range for this position is $18,200 to $21,400 USD. We hire people into the established range based on one’s experience and education and considering internal equity. We do not inquire about salary history.
