What you’ll do at Jamf:

The Localization Engineer role is responsible for executing product localization projects and testing translated deliverables across multiple teams at Jamf. This work will focus on the tactical requirements needed to support Jamf product localization initiatives and improve the international user experience.

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Works with multiple Jamf teams and translation vendors to meet goals and expectations for Jamf localization projects with each product release.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager of Product Localization, other Localization Engineers, and vendors to produce error-free translated documentation and UI text and ensure that the quality of materials meets the enterprise standard.
  • Tests the localization accuracy of product workflows and reports, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Works in conjunction with the Project Manager of Product Localization to report on progress and provide regular updates.
  • Advises when projects are at risk and helps identify solutions to ensure release deadlines are met.
  • Creates, maintains, and improves translation glossaries and memory files to increase product localization process efficiencies and quality.
  • Researches, implements, and maintains software solutions to enable the Localization team to perform its work.
  • Creates efficient translation project workflows, and trains all members of the Localization team on relevant workflows.
  • Publishes various documents through the CCMS.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues related to localization tools used by the team.
  • Checks translation files for correctness, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Continuously refines the Localization QA process, including documentation, determining essential usability tests and evaluating tools that could enhance the testing process.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate translation tasks and creates scripts or CAT tool workflows, accordingly.
  • Tracks, prioritizes, and resolves product localization defects.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the software development industry or localization industry (Required)
  • Ability to execute end-to-end verification process activities independently (Required)
  • Business level proficiency in English (Required)
  • Proficiency with XTM (Preferred)Scripting experience (Preferred)
  • Atlassian platform (Preferred)
  • Bitbucket and Git (Preferred)
  • Agile (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of speech or natural language processing (Preferred)
  • Ability to complete advanced Jamf Pro workflows in a testing environment (Preferred)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (including Excel and Word) (Preferred)
  • General experience with macOS and iOS platforms (Preferred)
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
