Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, Pacific Time

Salary: $6 - $8 USD per hour

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with various litigation processes, ensuring that all aspects of cases are managed effectively and efficiently. The successful applicant will have a firm understanding of legal principles, particularly in litigation, and will be proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including gathering necessary documentation and evidence.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Maintain organized files and case management systems to ensure all necessary documentation is readily accessible.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules.
• Assist in discovery processes including drafting requests, interrogatories, and subpoenas.
• Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring timely filings and responses.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a paralegal, specifically in litigation settings.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, with an emphasis on litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
• Certification from a recognized paralegal organization is a plus.
• Prior experience with trial preparation and discovery processes.
