Line Optimization Specialist

Position Summary

As a Line Optimization Specialist, you'll forge robust customer alliances, collaborate closely with aftermarket sales and project teams to drive aftermarket business. Your role includes spearheading high-value line tuning projects, generating reports aligned with customer KPIs, promoting aftermarket solutions, and nurturing relationships with both external and internal customers. You'll also mentor technicians, support field service needs, and offer technical expertise for modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build customer partnerships to drive aftermarket services business working very closely with the service sales and project teams.
  • Perform high value line tuning / optimization projects.
  • Organize and actively participate in audits (sometimes alone /sometimes leading a team)
  • Provide positive leadership and influence for the team.
  • Produce reports via observations and data in line with customer KPI’s.
  • Communicate findings with the customer and in conjunction with the service sales manager.
  • Highly promote aftermarket processes and obsolescence solutions to customers while onsite.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the modernization project team (NAM and overseas)
  • Train/Mentor service technicians to handle on-going service delivery and the service of specialized machines when appropriate.
  • Support field service needs for repairs and maintenance of equipment in special circumstances.
  • Inform FS manager of upcoming training opportunities for less experienced field service technicians.
  • Provide technical expertise to modernization projects where appropriate. Perform site management on CoC and Modernization projects when necessary.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Modernization Manager / Sales Director

 

  • Must possess an Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Automation or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have at least 8 years of work experience in the packaging industry
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical packaging industry
  • Must have 2 years sales experience in the packaging industry.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with PC’s and Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Experience Preferred.

The compensation range for this position is $50-$60/hour.  Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
