About the Role
As a Lifestyle Associate you will impact the lives of all members and residents through creating a vibrant and engaging environment for our residents. 

What You’ll Do
As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and implement social, recreational, spiritual, and educational activities for residents.
  • Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities, taking an active role personally.
  • Facilitate parties, games, trips, and departmental activities campus-wide.
  • Manage activity supplies, ensuring orderliness and cleanliness of activity areas.
  • Participate in Resident Council and encourage resident leadership.
  • Efficiently manage program resources and provide budgetary information to management.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
  • Must meet at least one of the following criteria:
    1. Has a minimum of two (2) years prior related experience in social or recreational programming in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or
    2. Has successfully completed an activity director training course approved by the National Certification Council for Activity.
  • Ability to plan, promote, and direct community service programs in the interest of residents. Requires ability to evaluate and assign volunteers to appropriate tasks.
  • Work under flexible and busy schedules; some nights and weekends required.
  • Work under minimal supervision while exercising excellent professional judgment.
  • A professional commitment to Christian principles so as to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values.
