Library Systems & Services (LS&S) is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Library Associate 2 in the Youth Services department. In this role, you will assist in providing engaging library services and programs to children and teens in the community.

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-time,
Hours Per Week: 20 hours a week
Pay Rate: $16.00 Per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating and maintaining an engaging collection of books, digital resources, and multimedia materials for children and teens
- Collaborate with Youth Services team to plan and conduct programs and events that promote literacy and creativity
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with finding materials, answering questions, and recommending age-appropriate resources
- Assist with library outreach efforts, including school visits and community partnerships
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in youth services

Requirements
Requirements:
An individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education,
training and/or work experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting, preferably in youth services
- Passion for working with children and teens
- Knowledge of children's and young adult literature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using library information systems and digital resources
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend hours
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
