The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. If you like smart, witty and motivated people, you will fit in well with the Team.

We are seeking a self-driven, problem-solving individual to join our global Legal Policy Enforcement Team. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach through balancing independent work with cross-functional team involvement in a fast-paced environment.  You will work within a well-rounded, collaborative Team that  values humor and teamwork. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process incoming data subject / privacy requests and reports of alleged legal issues or rights infringement.
  • Analyze legal correspondence and make course-of-action recommendations.
  • Manage Brazil-based litigation and consumer protection complaints against LinkedIn
  • Work closely with others on the Legal team and serve as the voice to the business on matters related to legal takedown requests and data subject requests.
  • Perform research and data analysis and leverage appropriate tools, resources, and internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Drive efficiency gains by identifying and taking actions on gaps in existing processes.
  • Establish effective cross-functional working relationships across multiple business units and organizational levels.
  • Operate with an appropriate sense of urgency combined with proper judgment and discretion in resolving issues.
  • Attend ongoing industry and/or professional development training.
  • Accommodate a flexible work schedule (to support emergency situations, on occasion, as needed).
  • Travel occasionally as per the needs of the business

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and education considered
  • 2+ years' experience in one or more of the following areas or combination thereof: Trust and Safety, Compliance, Privacy, Risk Management, Investigations or Legal Support
  • Brazil-qualified lawyer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the internet and social media and the technologies that support them
  • CIPP certification
  • Self-motivated, team player, with the ability to drive projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills using a variety of communication channels
  • Fluency in both verbal and written second language
