The Role

Sharebite’s Legal Intern will have a rare opportunity to serve as the second-chair legal resource within a fast-growing, fully remote, mission-driven company with a  multi-faceted legal function. Working alongside and with the support of Sharebite’s Head of Legal, the Legal Intern will assist with leveraging Sharebite’s strong mission-driven foundation to build out new initiatives within the company while also supporting commercial deal flow and other work across Sharebite’s various teams as needed to help drive the business forward. 

What You’ll Do 

• Take a primary seat in Sharebite’s cross-functional organization as we continue to formalize our ESG sustainability goals and reporting frameworks, implement impactful and compliance-driven AI solutions across our legal function, and streamline our workflows across the company.   
• Engage in drafting, review, and implementation of various sustainability policies for Sharebite, as well as commercial agreements and contracts more generally. 
• Serve as a key legal ops resource, building upon the foundation we’ve created to further optimize, automate, and standardize our contracting procedures and record keeping.
• Work cross-functionally to support the varied legal needs of Sharebite’s Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product/Tech, Operations, and other teams as needed. 
• Gain valuable experience and knowledge in transactional lawyering within a fast-paced, mission-driven startup on track to change the world.

Required Skills & Experience

• Current student with a demonstrated interest in law, tech start-ups, and/or mission-driven companies, or law student at a fully-accredited law school
• Resourceful, self-driven, curious, and collaborative
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented mindset, capable of systems-level thinking
• Equipped with reliable internet access, including video conferencing capabilities 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
• Mission-driven; inclined to leverage business as a tool for social good

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated interest in transactional law, through relevant coursework and/or work experience
• Experience with Salesforce, Ironclad, or other CRM or contract management software products
• Experience with, exposure to, or demonstrated interest in fintech, SaaS, mission driven companies or tech startups more generally
• Prior work experience in a fast-paced and/or remote work environment

This role will require the candidate to work ~35 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, beginning mid-August and ending mid-December (exact start and end dates are flexible).

At Sharebite, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and location.

The base compensation range for this role is $20 - $29 per hour, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
