Position:

We are looking to recruit a Legal Intern to be based in Ho Chi Minh office.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment with career development and personal growth opportunities.

Reports to: Legal Advisers/Senior Legal Advisers

Key external relationships: Clients, vendors, auditors and local authorities

Key internal relationships: Partners, Deputy MD, all staff of the Office

Position type: Full Time, 3 to 6 months of internship

Applicants eligible: Qualified candidates

Working Hour: Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Main duties of the role

  • Report to and take instructions from the Advisers;
  • Provide support and assistance to the Advisers;
  • Do legal research under the supervision of the Advisers;
  • Draft client correspondence under the supervision of the Advisers;
  • Participate actively in the Firm’s business development efforts, including government relations, various chambers of commerce, business clubs, and other relevant groups; and
  • Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.
  • Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Essential skills & proficiency

  • A tertiary degree in Law or another degree that includes significant studies in this discipline;
  • Prior work experience at a professional global service company
  • Prior work experience in a multicultural workplace
  • Friendly and approachable with good people skills
  • Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 – Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good English in speaking and writing

Desirable

  • Prior work experience at a law firm or multi-national corporation is an advantage;
  • Friendly and approachable, with good people skills;
  • Ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
