Job Purpose:
BTIG is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join the firm’s in-house Legal Department as an analyst. The analyst will provide a diverse range of support functions to the Legal Department with a focus on reviewing, processing and assisting with transactions for BTIG’s Fixed Income Group.
The ideal candidate would be either (i) a recent college graduate who is potentially considering law school in the next couple of years or (ii) someone with 1-3 years of similar experience in a law firm or other financial services institution
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of BTIG’s trading in bank debt, equity, trade claims and other brokered transactions, including:
- Draft, review, revise and proofread transaction documentation
- Track and participate in lifecycle of transaction documentation, negotiation and drafting
- Coordinate transaction settlements with legal, operations, clients, transfer agencies and other service providers
- Perform post-closing document organization and filing
- Monitor and update internal files with the status of transactions
- Regularly circulate transaction status updates to sales teams
- Assist with processing and settlement of loan trades on Clear Par
- Monitor LSTA and LMA websites for updates on trade documentation and current practices
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree

Compensation:
- BTIG offers competitive compensation and is required by law to include an estimate of the salary range for each role. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
- The current base salary range for this role is $80,000-100,000k per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
