About Your Role
As a Legal Counsel at Harrison.ai, you will report to our General Counsel & Company Secretary and work closely in providing commercially minded legal and governance support to the business. You will be a team player who takes ownership of varied legal matters and wants to help build and shape our legal function. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual who is looking to join a high performing team at a high-growth global technology scale up.
The Legal team supports flexible working with generally 2-3 days in the office (but no mandatory requirements). #LI-CC
What you'll do:
- Support the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel in the team across all business units (including corporate, governance, commercial contracts, employment, IP, insurance),
- Support our Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial) in drafting, negotiating and managing commercial contracts (primarily SaaS contracts),
- Support the General Counsel on strategic corporate transactions,
- Assist the team in the development of systems and processes to help shape and build the Legal function, and
- Support the team in the management of and work effectively with, external legal advisers
Your skills and experience:
- At least 3 years’ post admission experience gained in a top-tieror strong mid-tier firm,
- Demonstrated in-house experience,
- Current legal practising certificate in NSW,
- Motivated team player who takes initiative and ownership of matters, and
- Commercial-minded and pragmatic
Nice to have skills (but not essential):
- Corporate and/or general commercial contracts (particularly SaaS contracting) experience, and
- Experience working in or with high-growth tech companies and/or VC-backed start-ups
