As Legal Counsel, you will provide vital legal support across various business areas within Eurostar, ensuring our legal interests align with business goals. From drafting contracts to advising on compliance, GDPR, and intellectual property, you will work closely with teams to offer guidance and manage key legal processes. Your role will be crucial in helping the business navigate regulatory challenges and driving operational success.
This role is Grade EIL F, with travel services level 4 this role is based KP
Requirements
We are looking for someone to…
- Provide legal advice across various business areas, including commercial contracts, marketing, compliance, and customer issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in areas such as marketing, IT, sales, partnerships, sponsorships, and fleet operations.
- Advise the marketing team on advertising, promotions and campaigns, and manage any related regulatory investigations.
- Create and maintain legal templates and documents and deliver training to internal teams.
- Assist with customer complaints and customer claims, and regulatory compliance, including passenger rights and personal injury matters.
- Support competition law, ethical compliance programs, and anti-bribery policies.
- Assist with data protection, including GDPR compliance and data processing agreements.
- Help manage company secretarial duties, including board meetings and corporate governance.
- Support intellectual property management, including trademarks and brand protection.
- Manage internal contract approval and signature processes.
- Monitor legal developments and collaborate with the wider Legal team across jurisdictions.
You’ll need….
- To be a Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with approximately 3–4 years' post-qualification experience, gained in either private practice or industry. Candidates with varying levels of experience with the necessary skills are encouraged to apply.
- To be resilient and adaptable, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to offer recommendations and make decisions where appropriate.
- To be a team player, who enjoys collaborating with business colleagues and being an integral part of the Legal team.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough research and communicate effectively.
