Sphere is looking for a forward-thinking Learning Experience Designer who will work directly with the founders and department heads to bring expert-led upskilling courses to market. 

You will dig into the minds of today’s top practitioners in data science, artificial intelligence, and/or machine learning, to help them develop courses that are highly applicable, practical, and engaging. As such, you are a key hire to drive the overall success of the company. 

If you are skilled in quickly synthesizing content, developing clear and engaging learning plans, guiding collaborators in learning design and development, and managing quality, deadlines, and processes – we want to hear from you! Knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, and/or machine learning is required.

What you’ll do at Sphere:

- Work closely with the founding team, department heads, and world class practitioners to support the development of new expert-led courses
- Build out processes and strategies to enhance high quality rapid course development
- Conduct market and topical research, review and improve course proposals, and align proposals to sphere platform learning framework
- Lead experts through course development process; provide resources, project management, and provide guidance on Sphere real-world, application-based framework and style standards, and teaching and learning best practices
- Conduct milestone reviews, provide feedback, engage in polishing passes, and support in the development of core instructional items such as accessible, actionable outcomes, skill practice exercises, etc. 
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of courses and make recommendations for improvements
- Track projects and communicate at regular intervals with stakeholders

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- 3+ years of experience in a relevant industry such as curriculum development, instructional design, teaching, journalism, consulting or EdTech, preferably in an upskilling /technical training development capacity. In your career you’ve designed online courses that got people not just to learn, but to change their behavior and get stuff done. 
- Knowledge of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence is required
- Experience pitching learning plans and developing effective, skill-based learning strategies
- Demonstrated ability to punch up content to make it clear, concise, and engaging and aligned with Sphere frameworks
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Experience working in an early stage startup
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A self-directed, creative and curious nature. You can wear many different hats and you consistently execute on goals
