Learning and Development Specialist (Japan)

Learning and Development specialist will focus New Hire Training and Job specific trainings as needed by the operations team. Learn and implement the process flow to ensure building skills, upskilling, and drive performance metrics aligned with PTW Japan organization goals.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination: Manages and coordinates training enrolments.
  • Design, prepare and request educational aids and materials as and when required.
  • Acting as the L&D Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the business for anyone with questions or queries regarding New Hire Training and development plans.
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session and share reports with stakeholders.
  • Content Design and Development: Co-ordinate with the Content team to designs course materials as per training/event/project requirements.
  • Develops modules and course material based on the designs and projects.
  • Creates and adapt curriculum for a variety of audiences and learning delivery methods.
  • Develops complementary training materials that enhance learning options, including participant and leader guides, manuals, reference cards and certifications.
  • Modifies programs as and when required.
  • Ensures available content meets the process standards.


Delivery:

  • Deliver New Hire Training, contribute and conduct where necessary assessments during hiring and post-training to ensure smooth flow of New Hire Training (NHT).
  • Delivers Refresher Training.
  • Delivers basic and intermediate modules for developmental trainings as assigned by the Team Lead/Project Manager.


Evaluation:

  • During recruitment: Complete L&D rounds as per process.
  • Analyze training feedback for L1, L2, L3 and create reports.

Requirements

The Learning and Development Specialist needs to have a bachelor’s degree. Should have relevant certification or work experience in training/linguistic/coaching/HR domains.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3+ years overall experience with 6 months as an in person HR coach or HR trainer.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Advance Level of Japanese – Written and Verbal
  • Basic Excel skills, outlook, vlookup, hlookup and Power point presentation
  • Team/Classroom/vendor management
  • Strong Coordination skills
  • Adult Learning Principles
  • Experiential learning skills
  • Learning objective management
