JOB PURPOSE

For this vacancy we’re looking for a seasoned Lead UX designer that wants to build on the customer experience of a leading global player in the travel industry for a period of at least 18 months. You will be working in a dedicated project team with a mix of designers, developers and researchers. In this team, you’re expected to create momentum

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Bring experience and a strategic mindset that inspires the project team and helps sharpen the product vision;

- Lead discovery sessions and apply generative methods to uncover potential challenges and opportunities; 

- Translate strategy and insights into well considered journeys, flows and wireframes;

- Balancing business and brand goals as well as user and data insights to make informed but bold decisions;

- Presenting your work to key stakeholders while collecting and prioritizing feedback;

- Working back-to-back with UI designers to help shape the final user experience; 

- Work closely with visual designers and developers on ensuring the quality of the final product;

- Leading and mentoring a team of fellow UX designers;

- Occasional travel to Frankfurt and Zurich or in-person meets and sessions is required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 6+ years of experience as an Interaction/UX Designer at an agency;

- Experience with digital projects for (international) A-brands, demonstrated through a portfolio;

- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methods;

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities;

- Demonstrable experience with working in multidisciplinary teams;

- Strong appreciation for aesthetics and familiarity with motion;

- First hand experience with coaching UX experts;

- Strong communicator and working proficiency in English, and German is a plus; 

- Experience with transportation, travel or automotive is a plus;

- Experience with motion design, prototyping and experience with mobile apps is a (big) plus.

- Availability to start working in the greater Hamburg area, Germany.
