Waffle is a shared journal app designed to help people stay closer to their loved ones.
wafflejournal.comIt is used by more than 200,000 people across the country, serving a diverse user base that includes families, couples, those in polyamorous relationships, military families, people in long-distance relationships, parents, co-parents, and members of the BDSM community, among others.
We have raised $2 million in seed funding from investors, including Snap.
We are currently seeking a lead designer to oversee the design of our app and website. Waffle is beloved for its simplicity and aesthetic appeal, with design being a key differentiator.
Key Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong experience in mobile app UI/UX design
- Strong experience in web UI/UX design
- Experience in illustration and animation
- Knowledge of translating product visions into designs that accommodate users' tastes
Preferred:
- Understanding of the self-care and mental health app domain
- Insight into our predominantly female audience (70% of our users are female)
Work style:
- We value in-person collaboration. You need to be able to come to our office in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, at least once a month.
