The Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role includes leading the technical research and development to ensure continuous innovation within the infrastructure environment, particularly focusing on Windows platforms, VMware, AWS, Veeam, CrowdStrike, WSUS, and Dell technologies
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and administer virtualization products (VMware and Hyper-V).
- Serve as an SME in Windows/AD Administration, AWS Administration, and Server Administration.
- Extensive expertise in AWS Management, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and AWS Backup.
- Perform Active Directory Management and execute routine administrative tasks.
- Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and DNS for Active Directory enterprise.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems (2016/2012/2008).
- Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies, software/firmware upgrades, and domain creation.
- Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
- Experience with Dell/HP Blade servers, Veeam Backup management, and CrowdStrike or other antivirus administration.
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networking, and working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Should be flexible to work in EST hours.
Secondary Reponsibilities:
- Experience in VMware ESXi, vSphere, vSwitch Management, and knowledge of Cisco UCS Datacenter Technology.
- Creating, managing, and troubleshooting backup solutions with Veeam.
- Coordinate with different lines of services, manage SLA incidents, escalation, progress monitoring, and preparation of RCA.
- Open for shifts and weekend on-call support.
Skills Required:
- DNS, SFTP, FTP (Architect)
- Extensive experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments and VMware ESXi.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, Sites, and Services.
- Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure management and services. Terraform Engineers
- Knowledge of Cisco UCS Platform and Dell EMC or other storage area networking solutions.
- Experience managing backups through Veeam applications is a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience as a System and/or Server Administrator.
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in MCSE, MCSE Core Infrastructure, CCNA Datacenter, Dell Storage Specialist, VMWare Certified Professional / VCAP preferred.
