Lead – Sourcing - Identify appropriate suppliers, negotiate contracts, establish fulfillment processes and collaborate to forecast future needs. The sourcing Lead must help manage and alleviate supply chain risk through risk management and staying on top of supplier stability. Builds vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products & services for the company, as well as manage additional Procurement operational responsibilities where required. Focus must be on driving value to the organization
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and develop vendor relationships, managing effective partnerships with key suppliers to encourage superior service, obtain competitive pricing and quality products and/or services
- Lead or facilitate the supplier selection and negotiation process through the use of standard tools and capabilities (RFI, RFP, etc)
- Establish savings tracking methodology, perform savings confirmation, and report on project status/success
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships for key suppliers across multiple business divisions
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global decentralized organization with minimum supervision
- Strong negotiation skills with history of delivering consistent savings
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors including strong focus on contract renewals
- Liaising with legal departments for review of vendor contracts
- Compare available goods/services with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
- Knowledge of eProcurement and eCatalog management systems is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
Achievements/Goals within first 6-12 months:
- Gather and prepare documents like quotes / proposals comparison and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers for supervisor to review / approval.
- Carefully analyze and monitor vendor deliverables and record their performance.
- Manage supplier escalations on contractual obligations
- Deliver savings through negotiation and demand management process
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting.
- 10 plus years in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing and Vendor management
- 7+ years of Technology Sourcing Experience is must
- Driving procurement policy
- Driving large scale procurement projects
- Experience of enhancing procurement value chain or value creation
- Project Management Certification would be preferred
- Additional qualification in supply chain management preferred
- NetSuite / Coupa experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), eRFX and eAuction experience preferred
