The Internal AI Solutions Team
The Internal AI Solutions Team leads the transformation of the company’s internal processes through Generative AI, enhancing how we work across the organization. By equipping teams like Finance, Commercial, and Talent with AI-powered tools and techniques, this team empowers departments to expand their reach and impact, thus ultimately driving the success of the company.

We’re a small team with a style reminiscent of an early-stage company, characterized by highly generalist roles and a proactive attitude. We work very closely with key stakeholders in each vertical at Sword to learn their processes and understand how we can help them succeed through AI.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading a team of 1-2 Software Engineers by assigning tasks, overseeing the team’s work, and ensuring the attainment of the set goals;
  • Designing and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve internal operations and workflows;
  • Translating strategic objectives into functional software applications using specific technologies;
  • Owning the performance review and provision of feedback on your team’s elements;
  • Help growing the team by defining and promoting best practices;
  • Handling both front-end and back-end development tasks, ensuring seamless integration and performance across our tech stack;
  • Proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges to enhance system functionality and user experience.

What you need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a leader of an Engineering Team;
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong hands-on proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node. js), proficiency in SQL  and basic experience with Python;
  • Experience leading and owning complex and ambiguous projects from ideation to completion/maintenance;
  • Experience providing technical oversight and mentoring colleagues;
  • Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new problems and fields;
  • Ability to communicate concepts clearly and interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Ability to prioritize and solve issues according to the team’s direction and goals.

What we would love to see:

  • Practical experience with Generative AI or Large Language Models in a professional setting;
  • Advanced knowledge in data analytics tools like BigQuery and Looker, aiding in data-driven decision making and performance optimization;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and wearing different hats.
