F&G is looking to hire for a Lead Software Engineer - SharePoint & Microsoft Power Platform
The Lead Software Engineer – SharePoint & Microsoft Power Platform provides support in designing, developing and implementing SharePoint and Microsoft (MS) Power (Automate, Apps, & BI) Platform solutions. This position will serve as the lead SharePoint and Power Platform developer, collaborating with the Project Managers, Technical Leads, Business System Analysts, and business units subject matter experts on a variety of requests and projects. This position will code, test, and document software solutions and perform tests to validate the code which includes the ability to write more progressively complex code, and work independently to solve problems and fix technical issues. This position will guide other developers through required feature updates, code management, and requirement implementation. This position will also lead application security remediation and impact analysis. In addition, this position will mentor and coach other developers and lead technical aspects of SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Lead other developers through required feature updates, code management, and requirement implementation
• Lead initiatives where appropriate, guiding the organization with respect to system impact and change
• Design, code, test, and document software solutions that are high performing and intuitive, adhering to F&G’s software development methodologies, frameworks, standards, and security requirements
• Perform unit, regression, security, and load tests to validate the readiness of internally and externally developed SharePoint and/or Power Platform solutions for production as required
• Lead application security remediation in collaboration with Security team
• Lead a team through complex projects and is accountable for delivery
• Develop estimates for project and maintenance work
• Contribute to the design of architecture and solutions
• Peer review code for the developed solutions the Lead oversees
• Translate undefined business problems and defined business objectives and goals into functional solutions
• Mentor and coach other developers on an informal basis
• Technical ownership of one or more business facing solutions to deliver desired business outcomes
• Design and code complex solutions
• Remediate and upkeep of current F&G SharePoint tenant.
• Create monthly audit reports and permission matrices for site collections.
• Interact with clients and stakeholders on a regular basis
• Lead, support and interact with various IT teams and LOBs on integration efforts
• Adept at crafting Power Apps and Power Platform solutions with the ability to impart your knowledge to both IT and citizen developers
• Identify areas and processes where SharePoint or Power Platform capabilities can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement
Experience & Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (preferred emphasis in Computer Science or MIS) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8-9 years of hands-on technical experience in designing and building SharePoint or Power Platform solutions
• Experience with various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Significant experience writing complex code
• Significant experience developing in .Net/Java
• Experience developing in multiple databases, including SQL server and/or Oracle
• Expert understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with and understanding the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and governance components.
Preferred Requirements
• Experience with secure development practices and knowledge of OWASP Top Ten
• Experience with API management platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, or others.
• Experience of MS Teams administration, integrations, and support
• Certified as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in SharePoint, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, or other Microsoft Solutions Certifications
• Experience within a Financial Services/Insurer’s IT Organization
• Prior leadership experience
